My grandparents moved to Indiana from the mountains of Eastern Kentucky back in the 60's and with them they brought Banner sausage lol. My dad grew up eating it and when he married my mom he introduced her to it. My grandparents would drive 4 hours back to Hazard Ky just to buy it. I grew up with my dad fixing it for breakfast. You either love it or hate it. My siblings and I, til this day love it and so do my kids. Its far from the healthiest food on Earth but its a treat that my family and I have loved for generations.
